Behind

I am so behind on anything that involves this blog and my ideas for it. I am on a totally different computer that I normal use at the moment, and it has all the items I used to use to make items in SL. My other computer has pictures galore of me and friends who posed with or for me in clothing I love from SL, and I have yet to post about them. Tons of pictures!

I need to use the time I have and do something about this!

Unless the khaki monster comes at me and I end up somewhere else : (

I shall see what happens as the Holidays wind down.

Richard, Lenny, and Me

I don't have land anymore in Second Life. Once upon a time I rented from a wonderful landlady who I love dearly, but the RL problems with keeping family fed, clothed, and of course medicated (ahem, did I say that out loud?) ...I mean, and medical needs, covered..yes, covered...! Wellllll, Lindens were a bit tight. And still are. I think I have had 44 Lindens in my account for the past few months. That is so, so scary. (It is also due to a Club I worked for closing down. Hrmph.)

So, once upon a time when I had a home, I also had chickens out. I made them this cute lil' pen, and placed them out to roam about. One is named Lenny, after Lenny Kravitz, and one is named Richard, after Richard Cheese.

I thought, in the spirit of chickeneze, I would wear my favorite funky white hair and short skirt outfit. It's kind of funky school girlish, and I really enjoy the outfit when I'm feeling it.

Lost

Free at the moment on stand down.

Lost feeling.

Without SL to keep me distracted. And now with all my pictures lost. I'm rather blah over it all.

I can't talk to friends. I can't work or visit.

I can't shop.

This sucks.

Gown of Employment

I picked up several new things for my new job in Second Life. I do call it a job because those who consider Second Life positions as 'jobs' with those cute finger emotes they do while talking with too much caffine in their system, are off in the head if they think it isn't a job. I'd like to see them keep various people entertained while trying to keep a time line - and deal with RL things happening at the same time! It can sometimes be like juggling ancient Asian weapons that have varied sharpened-like-no-other blades bare handed! Especially if you have children at home who do not understand that there are people on the other side of this odd box!

Alas, I digress, as is the norm. So on to the gown! I loved this gown, but it's very dark on this avitar skin. I am probably going to have to start buying at places who hold demo's to double check colors on this skin of Jay's. But, aside from the gown being slightly dark on her...I still love it. I believe the way I shop for Jay is how I would like things. That color would look outstanding on my skin tone because I am a lighter shade than Jay is. So, I have to start shopping for someone darker, like - my cousin, who is much darker than I am. So if I keep that in mind I think that will help me shop for Jay better.

For the life of me, as I sit in a hot vehicle outside of a tent city in unbearable heat - already!? - I can't recall the store I bought this dress at. I will, however, check and come back to it so it is listed and known. I should show the hem as well, it's gorgeous. When I have time I will add to this gown's lovelyness on here, and...my shoes to go with it! Mmm, shoes.

I had a conversation with Fainora Pussycat. She is a designer in Second Life, and we work together in a up and coming club in Second Life. Our conversation dealt with shoes. Something I'm not very good with in RL, but in Second Life, watchitnow, I like shoes on my avi!!! Fainora spoke of having several million pairs of shoes in RL and much more than she does in Second Life. I own four pairs in RL. I hate shoes, really, in RL. I like going barefoot as much as possible. However, my avi can own tons, and as Nicole Bourne knows, I constantly lose sight of my favorites!!

More on this later - I have to get back to dust spores, mud, and something fluffy as I try to kidnap someone to win points....

New Shirt

I want opinions on this (Nicole, that means you since you're probably the only one who reads these.) Heh. So here goes:

This is a new shirt I have, but I want opinions because I think it may need some fine touches or maybe something else done to it?

I love the accented waist bows. They're very cute. But maybe a hem like bottom?

The collar might need some work?

Maybe..hmm. Opinions!?

Blocked Out

When I want into Second Life to play it always seems to be down. I have some down time today and wanted to go inside to do a few mundane things I haven't got to do in awhile - like fix my profile - hang a few pictures in my house, and so on. But alas, I am thwarted! Much like Mr. Darcy on his first proposal, I might add!

So, instead of mundane I get Mug Rootbeer, dry cereal of some kind I can't identify - by the gods! What did I grab from the snack line!? - and this mediocre post that comes to nothing, really.

Damn, now I want to go shop for gowns....

Le sigh.

Fashionably Late

I suck at fashion. In RL I look at items that are 'designed' and actually cringe. I hate shopping, too. I guess because nothing ever feels 'right' to me. I am a jeans and t-shirt person. In SL I can easily take the clothes I'd wince wearing in RL and put them on my avatar and, well, like it. I have people like Nicole at Cool Shiz to thank for that. Thanks to her I have been able to learn where to shop as a shopping newcomer who wants decent, well produced designs in SL. And let's face it, some of the clothes that are 'designed' in SL suck, even for new comers!

However, sometimes I get funky even if it's ugly. Sometimes it looks wild, sometimes it looks hawt, and then there are the times when people just say 'woah' and you wonder if they like it or hate it or are just blown away by it and their varied emotions.

I wore an outfit like that recently and wanted to show it off here and wonder. Is it just freaky or is it 'woah'. And if it is a 'woah' is it a good 'woah' or a bad 'woah'?

Information on the fashion items and listings when Second Life decides to allow me back in!

Second Life Nap

If RL was like SL I'd never wake up after taking a nap! The dorks at the Linden offices apparently have no clue how to update properly, and the bugs are starting to vex me. If it wasn't for the friends I've made in SL I would probably stop going in there, but as it is, I have many friends there and enjoy their company. I also enjoy building. And the shops. And, well, looking at what others have created. However, the tiresome 'unable to log in' and constant bugs, well, bug me. I'm glad I don't actually pay to be in there...then I'd really consider never going in!

A Start

S-ycho Sistah best describes me, and with my vintage urban flare, I decided to puff up the name to something a bit more me and a bit less 'normal'. A friend of mine blogs here, and I wanted to join her in attempting to look intelligent and somewhat fun. I don't think I can keep up with her though, but hey, at least it's something new - because normally I'd never do this - and it's something to keep me occupied since my job is coming to an end as of 1:30 A.M. on Saturday!

With that in mind - I hope I don't flood the gates!

Oh...dear...
